FORM  ·  Formwork take-off

FormFlo

Formwork is priced on contact area and won or lost on cycle time. FormFlo measures both.

A Gridstone engine In trial Part of the Superstructure Package

FormFlo takes off the formwork: every square metre of contact area, face by face, with the specified finish class carried against each one so nothing gets priced as a blank soffit when the drawing asks for an off-form finish.

It covers three different take-off models, because they do not measure the same way: proprietary removable deck and table systems, permanent steel decking left in the slab, and conventional span-chain formwork built on site.

The number that moves the money

On a multi-level job the cost driver is not the square metre rate, it is how many sets you need on the ground at once. That depends on how the system recovers its props early.

FormFlo separates the three mechanisms by name, because the fleet arithmetic is different for each: true drophead — the deck strikes while props and heads stay; filler-strip back-prop — the deck strikes but a filler strip and back-prop go back in, which saves less and adds a re-propping operation; and none — the whole assembly comes down together and reshores are installed separately.

Two systems quoted at the same rate per square metre can land a long way apart once that is counted properly.

What you get

  • Formwork take-off by element and by face, with contact area and finish class
  • System applicability and a side-by-side comparison where more than one will work
  • Sets required, crane lifts and the strip / back-prop sequence
  • Props, back-props and reshores quantified, with supply-by noted against each

FormFlo is a take-off engine, not a design tool. It measures what your engineer has documented. It does not size members, check capacity or certify. Where the documentation is silent or contradictory you get a written query naming the sheet and the missing datum — the rest of the job is released while it is open.

Send us the drawings.

Structural set, current revision, PDF is fine. We will come back with the scope we can measure, anything we need answered, and a price before we start.
